Louie is an acupuncturist who is passionate about helping people to find freedom in their bodies and balance in their lives.
Louie has special interests in women’s and children’s health. Due to these interests, she has undertaken special training in a particularly refined form of Japanese acupuncture called Toyohari, which utilizes flat and round ended tools to provide non-insertive, painless acupuncture treatments. This is especially suitable for sensitive individuals, including women during pregnancy and children.

Louie is passionate about delivering high quality medicine for women. A key teaching of Chinese medicine is “when the child is ill, nourish the mother”. This emphasises the deep importance of women’s health as a keystone of health for families and communities. Her focus areas in women’s health include menstrual and hormonal concerns including endometriosis, PCOS, infertility and menopause, mental health and chronic disease and pain.

She enjoys working intergratively with women and their other health care providers to navigate the often-tricky terrain of hormonal changes across the lifespan. Paediatric treatments can focus on a range of conditions, including but not limited to allergies, digestive complaints, behavioural, sleep and attentional issues, growth and development, skin problems and asthma. Treatments with kids are gentle, needle free and can be administered while the child is playing or held by their caregiver.

As a dancer, Louie also enjoys working with people on musculoskeletal concerns, including injuries, pain and improved functioning. She has a deep understanding of the value of movement, and works in a way that encourages curiosity and movement for every person in everyday life.
