  • Remedial Massage uses different techniques to reduce muscular pain and help with rehabilitation.

When muscles are tense, strained, torn, or have tendon damage, remedial massage uses long strokes, kneading, deep tissue, and rubbing to trace back to its origin and help increase blood flow to the tissues.

It is an excellent tool to help manage chronic pain and tension caused by compromised posture and poor movement patterns.

Our remedial massage therapists tailor sessions to individual needs, providing a holistic approach to health maintenance and recovery. We can also work with your physiotherapist as part of a holistic treatment plan.

Our Relaxation
Tui-na Massage

Relaxation Tui-na is influenced by techniques of Chinese Medicine, with massage focuses on providing a therapeutic and soothing experience for the individual. This therapy is designed to promote relaxation, relieve muscular tension and guide the nervous system towards a parasympathetic state - encouraging rest & recovery of the body and the mind.

What techniques are applied?

A variety of techniques may be applied - a combination of gentle and flowing movements such as long, sweeping strokes, kneading and gentle stretching.

An important part of relaxation massage is the environment in which it is experienced. Here at papaya, room lights can be dimly lit, and soothing music may be played to enhance relaxation. Pillows, blankets or other props may be used, to support the body & provide comfort.
