Meet Our Expert Panel

🍀 Dr. Iferne Tan – Fertility Specialist & Gynaecologist from Genea

As a reproductive surgeon , fertility specialist , and board-certified gynaecologist (and importantly, a mum), I appreciate how unique everyone’s journey to parenthood is.

My approach blends expertise with the art of listening, empowering you to take control of your reproductive health through every stage of life.

I’m passionate about patient care in all areas of women’s reproductive health, with a special interest in period disorders, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, and challenges with conception.

I hold a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Monash University in Melbourne and a Master of Reproductive Medicine from the University of New South Wales.

I’m a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist and have undertaken additional fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and reproductive surgery.

🍀 Christine Gurguis – Acupuncturist from Papaya Clinic

Christine has over 20 years experience as an acupuncturist. She enjoys unravelling complex conditions with her patients, collaborating with their medical and allied health professionals, and coaching on lifestyle measures that lead to the improvement or resolution of their conditions.

She has worked in a wide range of healthcare settings in Sydney and New York, and completed the Interprofessional Program in Integrative Healthcare at New York’s Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

She is excited to help Papaya Clinic to bring integrative healthcare best practices to Sydney’s inner west.

Christine has a special interest in acupuncture research and research implementation in integrative care settings.

🍀 Lauren Lee – Naturopath from Papaya Clinic

Lauren is a Clinical Naturopath with an interest in women’s health issues including hormone imbalance, menstrual irregularities, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, fertility, and chronic fatigue. She works with individuals across the lifespan from children and adolescents, to adults and seniors, incorporating the latest research from naturopathic and integrative medicine to educate and support her clients in their journey to optimal health and well-being. 

As a member of the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia, and Special Interest Group Committees, she is passionate about healthcare being accessible, progressive, and collaborative for the allied health practitioner and wider community.

Notably, Lauren was nominated as a Finalist for NHAA’s Awards for Excellence 2023, and participates in research projects such as the World Naturopathic Federation Umbrella Review of natural therapies and health products for COVID-19.
