Women's Gut Health Clinic Sydney

Naturopath Gut Health Support

Your gut is the foundation of your body’s systems - research shows that a healthy digestive system supports brain function, energy levels, immunity, oestrogen regulation, and sleep patterns. Despite this, gut health is often treated as an afterthought - we only start paying attention when gastrointestinal issues like poor digestion, leaky gut, and bloating start to surface.

Papaya Clinic is a women’s health clinic in Sydney providing holistic treatments that can help with an unbalanced, unhealthy gut. We use evidence-based naturopathy practices and functional testing to help you understand what’s causing problems in your gastrointestinal system, and deliver targeted interventions to supplement gut microbiome.

This approach to gut health can also address underlying issues like small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and antibiotic damage that are affecting other parts of your body, such as menstrual health and hormonal balance.

What’s Included in Gut Health Treatments for Women

Our gut health treatments are employed by naturopaths, using both evidence-based science and traditional healing practices to correct the imbalances in the digestive system.  ‘

  • Consultation - We start with a review of your overall and gastrointestinal health. Our gut health naturopaths will ask about your current symptoms and history of digestive issues.

  • Functional testing - We collect a stool sample and screen it for pathogenic and commensal bacteria, pathogens, fungi, viruses, and parasites using quantitative PCR analysis.

  • Microbiome mapping - The test results are used to map out your gastrointestinal microbiome, which contains information about the state of the gut lining and the immune function.

  • Tailored treatment - With your gut health goals in mind, we create a treatment plan to address gut issues through nutritional supplements and acupuncture sessions.

These services are included in our Heal Your Gut bundle, which is designed to break the cycle of recurring gut issues like bloating and indigestion. In addition to these modalities, you will also receive ongoing support and advice to support gut health in the long term.
