"Something's not right, but no one can tell me what it is."
If you've sat in a doctor's office, had your bloods come back normal, and walked out feeling more confused than when you walked in, this evening is for you.
The perimenopause to menopause transition is one of the most significant shifts in a woman's life. And yet so many women are navigating it alone, piecing together information from Google and Instagram, seeing multiple practitioners with no one truly coordinating the picture.
We created Papaya Conversations because we believe you deserve a room full of people who actually get it.
WHAT WE'LL COVER
We’ll discuss six key areas of the menopause transition, the parts that often get missed, misunderstood, or brushed off.
What's actually happening in your body: What perimenopause really is, and why your experience is valid, even if your tests say you're fine.
Bone strength: Why bone density matters now (before you think it does), what resistance training and nutrition actually do, and practical steps you can start this week.
Weight changes and body composition: The hormonal reasons weight redistributes during this transition and what an evidence-based approach actually looks like.
Brain fog and cognitive function: The science behind why your thinking feels different, what nutrition and lifestyle can support, and how to know when to ask for more help.
Sleep and nervous system health: Why sleep changes in perimenopause are so disruptive and how a multidisciplinary lens can actually help you rest again.
YOUR PRACTITIONERS FOR THE EVENING
Winnie Wu: Founder & Women's Health Physio Australian Physiotherapy Association member, completing her Master's in pelvic health physiotherapy at Melbourne University. Winnie has spent years listening to women who've been passed around the system and is building something different.
Kelly Suggate: Clinical Nutritionist Kelly brings a deeply clinical lens to nutrition, understanding how gut health, hormonal balance, and dietary patterns intersect during the menopause transition. Her advice is evidence-based and genuinely practical.
Mali Taylor: Sports Nutritionist Mali works at the intersection of movement, muscle, and metabolism. She'll cover what the research actually says about body composition, bone density, and performance during perimenopause.
