Louie is an acupuncturist who is passionate about helping people to find freedom in their bodies and balance in their lives.
She has trained extensively in Australia, China and Japan, completing an internship at the Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Medicine Hospital in Nanjing, China and a post graduate certificate in Japanese Acupuncture with the Toyohari Association. This training in providing non-insertive, painless acupuncture treatments has led her to have special interests in treating people with sensitive nervous systems, including women, children, those on the neurodivgerent spectrum, those with chronic pain and fatigue and those with complex emotional trauma histories.
Louie is passionate about delivering high quality medicine for women. She enjoys working intergratively with women and their other health care providers to navigate the often-tricky terrain of hormonal changes across the lifespan. Her focus areas in women’s health include menstrual and hormonal concerns including endometriosis, PCOS, fertility challenges, mental health and chronic pain and fatigue (CFS).
Her paediatric treatments can focus on a range of conditions, including but not limited to allergies, digestive complaints, behavioural, sleep and attentional issues, growth and development, skin problems and asthma. Treatments with kids are gentle, needle free and can be administered while the child is playing or held by their caregiver.
As a dancer, Louie also enjoys working with people on musculoskeletal concerns, including injuries, pain and improved functioning. She has a deep understanding of the value of movement, and works in a way that encourages curiosity and movement for every person in everyday life.
